Port drayage

How we price

Three pricing models — pick what fits.

Most contracts use one model end-to-end, but we mix them when needed (e.g. per-ton haulage + per-trip demurrage on a long-term contract). Whatever we agree is locked into your Project record and printed on every Quotation and Bill.

Per-trip flat rate

A single rate per trip regardless of weight. Best for one-off project moves, oversized cargo, or contracts where loads are predictable.

Per-ton

Charged on the actual delivered tonnage shown on the Challan. Best for cement, steel, and other bulk commodities where loads vary.

Charged on the routed distance shown on the Trip record. Best for multi-drop FMCG and contract carriage where the route changes daily.

Service FAQs

Common questions per service line.

Do you handle the inter-district route permit for oversized loads?
Yes — we coordinate Bangladesh Road Transport Authority district permits and (where required) police escort. The fee is pass-through on your Bill, itemised separately so you see exactly what each permit cost.
Can we get a dedicated truck for our cement/steel contract?
Yes. Long-term per-ton contracts can specify a dedicated truck pool. We post the truck numbers to your project so you and your plant know exactly which units are running your work today.
What's your demurrage rate?
Demurrage starts after a free-window declared in your Quotation (typically 4 hours at loading, 4 hours at drop). Rate is itemised on the Quotation T&C — no surprises at billing time.
Can drivers wait for unloading at the port?
Yes — port drayage rates include a standard wait window at the gate. Beyond that the container daily-detention rate kicks in (passed through from the shipping line).
How do you handle damaged or short cargo?
Carrier liability is capped at the declared cargo value (or freight charge + replacement, whichever is lower). For high-value loads we can arrange dedicated cargo insurance on a per-shipment basis — talk to us before the trip moves.
